Qualifications

About This Position

The Food Service Director plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of a large food service operation with one or more production kitchens. This role oversees the kitchen's operational and financial responsibilities. It supervises an Assistant Food Service Director and/or a team of Food Service Supervisors and/or Cooks involved in food preparation, serving, and clean-up within a secure correctional facility. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs.

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old.
• Five years of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
• Basic accounting and mathematical skills to complete necessary reports.
