Job summary

Trinity Services Group seeks a Hybrid Food Service Worker/Driver for a role inside a jail facility in Wisconsin. Drive a 26-foot box truck on an established route and supervise kitchen tasks, including recipe adherence, inventory checks and sanitation.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, assisting in food prep, receiving deliveries, and keeping the vehicle and workspace clean. Requires 5:00am–2:00pm availability with some weekends/holidays and a valid license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience delivering products/inventory preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• 6 months experience driving a 26-foot box truck.
• Ability to back into a loading dock and load/unload box truck.
• Kitchen supervision skills and adherence to food handling rules.

Responsibilities

• Learn the delivery area and routes.
• Check orders for quality and accuracy.
• Follow proper delivery procedures.
• Assist with food preparation, serving, and kitchen maintenance, cleaning, and sanitizing as needed.
• Receive food and supply deliveries from vendors and restock.
• Transfer supplies and equipment to proper locations as directed.
• Load, unload, and deliver products and orders on schedule.
• Report vehicle maintenance or repair needs to management.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform physical duties as required.

About This Position

***Must have open availability to work: 5:00am - 2:00pm AND 10:00am - 7:00pm (this includes some weekends and holidays)***

The Food Service Delivery Driver/Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for but not limited to: Driving a company vehicle (Box Truck) for an established route on the facility grounds. They will assist in the loading, unloading, and delivering goods to routed locations.

There are also duties in the kitchen that will require: Supervising inmates, ensuring recipesare being followed, checking food temp, checking inventory, sanitizing along with other kitchen duties as needed.

This position is located inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Hybrid position Food Service Worker/Driver

• Must be able to drive a box truck (26 ft) / must have at least 6 solid months of experience driving a box truck (26 ft)
• Must be able to back into a loading dock
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to load and unload a box truck (push/lift)
• Will have to climb into the box truck
• Must be able to handle a lift gate
• Unload containers, push carts, etc. up to 300 lbs
• Have kitchen supervisory skills – as the individual will then monitor food service and assembly inside the facility

Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities

• Learning the delivery area.
• Checking orders for quality and accuracy.
• Following proper delivery procedures.
• Assist with food preparation, serving, and kitchen maintenance, cleaning, and sanitizing as needed.
• Assist with receiving food and supply deliveries from vendors and restocking.
• Transfer supplies and equipment by hand or with cart as identified by supervisor to the proper location.
• Gather supplies required for each site as detailed on production sheets and order guides.
• Load, Unload, and deliver products and orders in a timely manner.
• Report any necessary maintenance or repairs needed on the company vehicle to the manager.
• Responsible for maintaining and keeping the vehicle clean
• This role includes physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift when not driving.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or Equivalent, and you must be at least 21 years of age.
• One (1) years' experience in delivering products/inventory preferred.
• A valid state driver’s license for assigned vehicles is required.
• Must have 6 months of experience driving a 26-foot box truck
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to transport and set up food and food service items.
• Knowledge of safe driving procedures and traffic rules.
• Strong team orientation.
