Job summary

ShopRite Hoboken is seeking a Food Service Clerk to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a clean, organized Food Service department. The role includes preparing products, stocking shelves, and ensuring safety and quality in all food handling tasks.

You will support the Food Service Manager, handle various items such as salads, sandwiches, and entrees, and assist with daily operations while adhering to company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• English literacy and basic math are required.
• Stand/walk for long shifts is necessary.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and handle food safely.
• Able to interact with customers and work with others.
• Experience operating common food-service equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Prepare salads, sandwiches, pizza and other items per recipes and standards.
• Ensure proper temperatures and product rotation.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies and QA standards.
