What Will Be On Your Plate?

Department: Food Service

Reports To: Food Service Manager

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve prepared goods to customers at the Food Service counter, listening to requests and providing desired products.
• Answer phone calls and take orders as needed.
• Itemize prices for counter goods.
• Properly use slicer to cut weighable products.
• Wrap, box, and label products.
• Make sandwiches and prepare lunch and dinner specials.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to promote sales.
• Stock and replenish products, napkins, condiments, and other items needed for excellent customer service.

Customer Service Skills

Food Service Clerks are expected to provide customer service that exceeds expectations, following policies that emphasize attitude, respect, and flexibility. A positive, can-do attitude, respect for others, and adaptability are essential.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or GED required.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands frequently. Occasionally reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close and color vision.
