A leading school district in West Sacramento is seeking a Food Service Cashier. The successful candidate will manage the district's computerized point of sale system, assist in meal preparation, and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Ideal applicants will have strong computer and arithmetic skills along with a commitment to safety and sanitation.
Typical duties will include, but are not limited to, accepting money, tickets or tokens for foods and beverages served in a school food service program and generating appropriate food service reports and preparing bank deposits. Other duties may include preparing or assisting in the preparation of all components of the daily meal, setting up and serving meals or meal components, washing and sanitizing, storing dishes, tableware and kitchen utensils, scrubbing counters, tables and chairs, mopping floors, disposing of waste properly, operating and cleaning kitchen equipment as assigned, storing food and supplies, assisting in taking inventories, and works on a computer. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Under direct supervision of the cook manager operates the district food service computerized point of sale system.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES :
