Overview

Performs cashiering duties for employees, visitors, and staff. Additionally, performs routine duties related to the preparation and serving of food to employees, visitors, and patients. Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties.

Responsibilities

1. Performs cashiering duties, including cash transactions, credit card, debit card, and gift card processing.
2. Completes orders for replenishing coins and bills for the registers.
3. Follows all State and Hospital guidelines in serving areas, including serving and/or portioning food, preparing items to order, informing/directing customers, performing cash and charge transactions, and reconciling money.
4. Measures refrigeration, hot, and cold food temperatures to ensure proper storage and serving temperatures.
5. Cleans assigned areas and equipment following institutional standards.
6. Orders, collects, and restocks food supplies in assigned areas.
7. Displays and labels food items using menu boards and table top signs.
8. Sweeps and mops as needed.
9. May operate dishwashers or assist with washing and sterilizing equipment or supplies.
10. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma (or GED) strongly preferred.
2. Ability to read and write required.
3. Prior satisfactory work experience is desired.
