Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is hiring immediately for full time and part time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER positions in New Sharon, IA. The role includes cashiering duties, basic food service tasks, and maintaining sanitation in dining areas. Full-time and part-time schedules run Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Prior experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred. Pay ranges from $13.00 to $17.00 per hour with opportunities to participate in the employee referral program.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Performs cashiering duties and general food service tasks.
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards in the serving and dining areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Carry pans, utensils and trays to work stations and service areas.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register.
• Ensure correct handling of payments and issue receipts.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Assist customers in a friendly, efficient manner and resolve complaints.
