SSA Group at the Pittsburgh Zoo is looking for a talented Food Service Busser to join our team!

Reports to: Food Service Supervisor(s), Restaurant Manager(s) and Food Service Operations Manager(s)

Responsibilities

1. Clear and disinfect tables in designated restaurant location.
2. Take out trash, compost and recycling to the proper disposal areas as needed.
3. Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for all guests.
4. Perform the steps of SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client.
5. Ensure proper uniform, hygiene, hand-washing and glove use.
6. Maintain a SSAfe work environment by abiding to all SSAFETY rules.
7. Actively support operations in assigned role, filling in as necessary.
8. Efficiently respond to guest and client feedback, reporting to the supervisor to mitigate potential complaints.
9. Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.
10. Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
11. Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
12. Present a clean and welcoming experience for guests through upholding sanitation requirements.

2. Focus on removing barriers and empowering growth and opportunity for team members at all levels.
3. Lead by example through Sustainability/Conservation efforts; display knowledge of efforts in business application and provide teaching opportunities for unit staff as necessary.
4. Engage with SSA/Unit in driving community effort through engagement activities and focus on opportunities to give back.

Job Requirements

1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
2. Exceptional problem-solving/decision-making skills combined with the ability to be organized.
3. Demonstrate the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
4. Ideal candidate is a team player, personable, professional, upbeat and energetic, and takes initiative.
5. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes (10-35lbs) as necessary.
6. Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.

Hourly, Non-Exempt. Pay is based on range in consideration of relevant job experience and certification/education.
