UPMC Presbyterian and UPMC Montefiore Hospitals are looking to hire full-time, flex full-time, part-time, and casual Food Service Attendants to support their patient services departments. These positions will require working holidays and weekends. Candidates must be able to work between 5:00 am and 8:30 pm with open availability.

Individuals hired into this role must comply with UPMC’s COVID vaccination requirements upon beginning employment. Refer to the COVID-19 Vaccination Information section at the top of this page to learn more.

Responsibilities:
  1. Adheres to department procedures regarding the operation of all food service equipment.
  2. Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with customers.
  3. Assembles and serves meals according to diet orders, menus, and patient/guest-specific requirements.
  4. Ensures necessary food and service equipment/utensils are secured for the assigned area prior to meal service.
  5. Inventories and stocks bulk supplies following established procedures and designated time frames.
  6. Maintains food safety and quality by applying HACCP principles throughout service.
  7. Serves patient meal trays using the designated department script, including proper patient identification.
  8. Performs sanitation for the assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
