Meals on Wheels Western Michigan is seeking a Food Service Associate for the plating line to support our meal program for seniors. You will portion components for trays or bulk pans, retrieve products from storage, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.

The role emphasizes daytime Monday–Friday shifts with occasional evenings as needed, offering meaningful work and a collaborative, fast-paced culinary atmosphere while upholding food safety standards.

• Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and surfaces

• Set up, tear down, and clean equipment
• Perform dishwashing duties and operate dishwashing equipment
• Complete general cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks
• Participate in ongoing training and development to grow within the team

• Retrieve and open food products from storage to support daily production needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work surfaces as required.
• Follow proper and safe chemical handling procedures.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards to ensure product quality and safety.
• Set up, tear down, and clean equipment according to established procedures.
• Perform dishwashing duties, including manual washing and operation of commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Complete general cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to strengthen your skills and grow within the team
