Huck’s Food and Fuel is seeking a Food Service Associate to help run the food service area with high standards of customer service and store cleanliness. As a 100% employee-owned company, Huck’s emphasizes ownership mindset and consistent, fast, friendly service to customers in every interaction.

The role covers opening the food service area, serving customers, following all safety and sanitation procedures, and supporting merchandising and loyalty programs.

Responsibilities

• Opens the food service department during hours and ensures readiness for business
• Provides prompt and courteous service to all customers
• Communicates effectively with store associates
• Follows federal, state and local laws and store policies
• Monitors food preparation to minimize waste while meeting customer demand
• Treats all associates with dignity and respect
• Informs store management of personnel issues affecting operations
• Assists in training new associates on job duties
• Ensures shift procedures are followed and maintains a safe shopping/work environment
• Maintains current plan-of-grams and communicates inventory needs to prevent out-of-stocks
• Actively promotes Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app and assists customers with sign-up and usage
• Keeps food service areas clean and presents the department according to company standards
• Reports maintenance issues promptly and ensures sanitation procedures are followed
• Ensures ladders, lifting procedures, and wet floor signs are used and reports accidents promptly to management
