What you'll be doing day to day
As a Food Service Team Member ensuring operational excellence of IKEA Food, you will:
  1. Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept, adhering to food handling, health, and sustainability standards.
  2. Respond to customer inquiries to support informed purchases and process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, following cash handling policies.
  3. Maintain equipment operation by adhering to operating guidelines, troubleshooting breakdowns, and conducting preventive and cleaning maintenance.
  4. Keep dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and trays clean and stocked, complying with Food Safety Standards.
  5. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas.
  6. Manage the Swedish Food Market by overseeing merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and sanitization of sampling equipment and areas.
  7. Communicate prices accurately and timely across all food solutions, including digital platforms, menu boards, and shelf tags.
  8. Maintain supply rotation and stocking in all IKEA Food solutions, following FIFO, expiration dates, and sustainability standards. Implement IKEA Food policies for goods receiving and inventory management.
  9. Adhere to safe food handling, workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations, reporting concerns promptly.
  10. Contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is strong and inclusive, embracing diversity among co-workers and customers.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of related experience. Experience in a high-volume customer-facing environment preferred. Experience in a high-volume retail environment with basic merchandising and selling knowledge preferred. Food Handler Certification and/or Food Handler Card (as required by local jurisdiction) must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
