Overview

Break Time Food Service Associates serve all food service customers while maintaining high standards for food preparation, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies to ensure efficient operations during their shifts. Food Service Associates are energetic individuals who believe it only takes a moment to make your day better.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly customer service by greeting and thanking customers, handling complaints courteously, and conducting transactions accurately.
• Promote sales using suggestive selling techniques.
• Follow guidelines and recipes for food preparation; inspect products for quality, safety, and proper storage; operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, and roller grills.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and food areas; ensure proper food safety standards are met.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Assist in training new employees and perform loss control functions related to cash handling, lottery sales, and inventory management.
• Work as part of a team to comply with all regulations and cross-train for various roles.
• Utilize store technology, including POS systems and computers, to perform transactions and record data.
• Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to company policies.

Job Requirements

• Friendly, customer-oriented personality with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to attend food safety training and obtain necessary certifications.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and operate computers and machinery accurately.
• Physical ability to move and position products in cold environments and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand for up to nine hours; occasionally use ladders; observe safety and work environment.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Successful background check and drug test required.

Preferred Skills
