Position Overview:

The Food Service Associate reports directly to the Food Service Supervisor and/or Food Service Operations Manager(s).

Responsibilities:

• Deliver SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client.
• Assist with food prep and daily restaurant operations.
• Meet daily standards for quick service, food quality, safety, availability, and guest service.
• Maintain safety logs for food temperatures, rotation, and waste management as needed.
• Follow proper hygiene standards, including hand-washing and glove use.
• Uphold a safe work environment by following all SSAfety rules.
• Operate cash register or POS system, handle cash, credit/debit cards, and issue receipts.
• Complete assigned prep and item lists each day.
• Support operations by filling in roles as needed.
• Respond to guest and client feedback efficiently, escalating to the supervisor when necessary.
• Communicate issues with daily service or quality to the supervisor and/or Food Operations Manager.
• Stay knowledgeable about menu items, prices, and specials to share with guests.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow company policies and procedures while promoting a clean and welcoming experience for guests.

Job Requirements:

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to stay flexible and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player who is personable, professional, upbeat, and takes initiative.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes (10-35 lbs) as necessary.
• Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Night availability is a must during our lantern event this spring.

• Hourly, Non-Exempt. Pay based on experience and certifications.

This is a part-time, seasonal position. Full-time hours are available during peak season, off-season hours will be limited and assigned based on availability and performance.
