Job summary

TXB Market and Food Stores Inc in Eagle Pass is seeking a Food Service Associate to support store operations, assist with food preparation, customer service, and housekeeping to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

You will work with the store team, handle basic service tasks, follow safety and sanitation guidelines, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment for guests. No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided, with rotating night/weekend opportunities.

Qualifications

• No prior experience is necessary.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Job Summary:

The food service associate works in support of the store management team to facilitate the completion of all store level tasks and performs a variety of tasks related to different areas of the store including food preparation, possible cash register tasks, customer service, general housekeeping and other related functions. The food service associate ensures an exceptional customer experience that supports our purpose to “Leave ‘em Better”.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment.

• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers and returns to appropriate location in the kitchen area.
• Refills condiments or other supplies.
• Follows all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Ensure the proper execution of all assigned store level marketing programs.
• Replenish products and supplies to ensure in stock conditions at all times.
• Check in external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.
• Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resource.

• Education and Experience:

  • Successful completion of on-the-job training.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
  • May be required work in excessive heat and cold in association with the kitchen environment.
