Job summary

Recovery Innovations is seeking a Food Service Associate for the Crisis - Franklin County Crisis Care Center in Columbus, OH. You will prepare and serve meals under the direction of the Food Service Manager, following food safety requirements and departmental procedures.

Salary/Hourly Wage: $17.00/hour

  • Active and valid Food Handler’s Certification required.

Summary of Job: The Food Service Associate is responsible for preparing and serving food under the direction of the Food Service Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Guest Care & Advocacy: Prepares and serves food in accordance with food safety requirements and departmental procedures.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen by using proper food handling techniques.
    • Ensures all food is dated and disposed of after sell date.
    • Monitors refrigerator temperature and documents on daily temperature log.
    • Keeps abreast of federal and state regulations and laws and Recovery Innovations policies as they change.
    • Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as indicated in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
  • Additional Duties: Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Active Food Handler’s Certification.
  • Experience: Minimum six months of food service experience; familiarity with food safety regulations.
  • Skills: Strong organization skills, basic computer skills, must be able to pass de-escalation training.
  • Driving: If driving required, must meet driving policy; otherwise sign Non-Driver Attestation.
  • Miscellaneous: Travel required; must be at least 18 years old (or older per state). Maintain confidentiality (HIPAA). Background check (seven-year), substance abuse testing if applicable, fingerprint clearance if applicable, education verification, motor vehicle report if driving.
Physical Demands

Work close to eyes; substantial motions of wrist, hands, and fingers; frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing; walking; may need to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility with hazardous conditions.
