Job summary

Position Summary & Highlights

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center located in Boise is hiring a Food Service Associate to support the Food and Nutrition Services Department.

This position is responsible for preparing and assembling food items for patients on regular and modified diets, cafeteria customers and for hospital patients. Delivers and retrieves patient food trays. Performs cleaning procedures on food service equipment and work areas. May be asked to shuttle food products to sites of off the main hospital campus.

What will you do:
  • Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organizational Mission, Core Values, and Vision in behaviors, practices, policies and decisions.
  • Prepares and assembles food items for patients on regular and modified diets, as well as for cafeteria customers.
  • Delivers and retrieves patient food trays.
  • Serves food items to cafeteria customers.
  • Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas.
  • Assists in dish room as needed.
  • Competency in basic reading and oral communication required.
  • Must be able to operate equipment used by Food Service staff.
  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble machines to keep equipment clean.
  • May be required to shuttle food products to off campus locations (if this is a requirement of the position then a driver's license record will be required and a valid Idaho Driver's License).
Minimum Qualifications:

Schedule:

This position will be scheduled for at least 40 hours a week. May include weekends, weekdays and holidays. Schedule is subject to change.
