Job summary

Santa Clara Unified School District in California is seeking an on-call substitute Food Service Assistant to support the production and serving of meals under the supervision of the Nutrition Services Manager.

Responsibilities include preparing food as specified by menus and production records, maintaining clean and sanitary work areas, and serving meals to students and staff. Hours will vary; for questions contact Sheri Nielsen.

• Establish positive relations with diverse internal and external customers, including students, staff, school administration, parents, and community members.

• Produce and serve appropriate quantities of food items in a timely manner, assure proper quality and quantity of food prepared; prepare food as specified by menus, recipes, and production records, or as directed.
• Maintain work areas and serving areas in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition; wash and clean counters and food service preparation areas; wash and store equipment.
