Job Responsibilities

The Food Service Assistant is responsible for monitoring and recording food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean serving area, preparing and serving food, restocking, cleaning equipment, handling payments, and adhering to HACCP guidelines. The role requires providing excellent customer service, effective communication, and establishing positive working relationships. Equipment operation may include grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, refrigerators, and freezers. Experience in the food industry is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16 years
• Previous customer service, retail, or food service experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform basic math
• On-the-job training provided
• Serv Safe certification and Basic Life Support may be required depending on location
