Job Summary and Qualifications

The Food Service Assistant performs daily tasks related to patient food service, including tray assembly, food portioning, snack and supplement prep, and tray delivery. Ensures tasks are completed safely, adhering to sanitation policies, and provides excellent customer service.

• Process menus and assemble patient trays accurately.
• Deliver trays, verify patient identity, and handle pediatric trays.
• Sanitize carts, dishware, and utensils per regulations.
• Manage late trays, stock supplies, and prepare nourishments.
• Handle therapeutic diets and control portions.
• Record temperatures, report abnormalities, and maintain cleanliness.
• Follow sanitation procedures and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma (preferred), with experience in healthcare food services and clerical work being advantageous.
