Food Service Assistant, Long Term Care (LTC)

Join our team as a Food Service Assistant at Good Samaritan in Watertown, SD. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule with approximately 20 hours per week, at a starting rate of $14.50 to $22.50 per hour.

Job Summary: The Food Service Assistant is responsible for monitoring food temperatures, maintaining cleanliness, preparing and serving food, restocking supplies, and operating various equipment. The role requires adherence to food safety standards, excellent customer service, and effective communication with patrons and co-workers. Ability to work independently and stand for extended periods is essential.

Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years old. Prior customer service or food industry experience is preferred but not required. Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and follow instructions is necessary. On-the-job training will be provided. Depending on the location, ServSafe certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required.
