Job Summary

The Food Service Assistant is responsible for duties including monitoring and recording food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food, restocking food areas, cleaning equipment, receiving payment via a computerized register, and other related tasks. The role requires adherence to HACCP guidelines, providing excellent customer service, and establishing effective relationships with patrons and co-workers. The assistant may operate various equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, and cash registers. Prior experience in food service is preferred, along with the ability to work independently and understand food safety protocols. The position involves standing for most of the day and walking long distances.
