Job summary

Good Samaritan – Bethany is hiring a dedicated Food Service worker in Brainerd, MN for full-time shifts. You will monitor temperatures, prepare and serve items, restock areas, and ensure HACCP compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

Applicants should be at least 16 years old with prior customer service experience and basic math skills. On-the-job training is provided, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience and money handling knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow directions; basic math skills.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Serv Safe may be required depending on location.
• Basic Life Support may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record proper temperatures of food and maintain a clean serving area.
• Prepare and serve food items and restock food areas.
• Clean and sanitize equipment; process payments with a computerized register.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines for food service.
• Provide outstanding customer service and communicate effectively with patrons and co-workers.
• Operate kitchen and serving equipment as needed.
• Work independently and understand food safety and sanitation processes.
• Stay on feet for most of the day and walk long distances.

Good Samaritan – Bethany is a 79-bed long-term skilled care and transitional care facility located in Brainerd, Minnesota, in an area known as “The Heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area”.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record proper temperatures of food and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area.
• Prepare and serve food items and restock food areas.
• Clean and sanitize equipment; receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register.
• Comply with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service.
• Provide outstanding customer service and communicate effectively with patrons and co-workers.
• Maintain quality control standards; operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers as needed.
• Possess the ability to work independently and understand food safety and sanitation processes.
• Be on feet for the majority of the day and able to walk long distances.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• Previous customer service experience; retail counting and reconciliation of money; knowledge of food service preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions; basic math skills.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Serv Safe may be required to obtain within a designated time frame depending on location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location requirements.
