Job summary

In this role, you will assist with preparation, delivery, and sanitation to support a healing environment. The position is a flex/PRN role with day-shift hours.

Qualifications

• Basic reading and writing skills and able to do simple math.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to follow directions and work together as a team player.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to move quickly.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high-quality food for patients, staff and other customers.
• Support sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and service areas.
• Provide friendly customer service to internal and external customers.
• Assist with serving and cleaning duties as needed.

In the hospital setting Nutrition is crucial to the healing process, the Food Service Assistant serves a vital role in helping patients with this healing process. Performing preparation and delivery of food with a high standard of quality and sanitation. Additional duties will include customer service, serving, cleaning and sanitation. A high level of customer service to internal and external customers, attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude is required.This is a flex position.
