Primary Function: Perform food service duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• Educational Level: None; High School Diploma or High School Equivalency, preferred
• Certification/License Required: None, an Orientation for Nutrition Employees [ONE] course is required during the first few months of employment.
• Experience: None required; training for all essential duties will be provided.
• Physical Activities: Bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.; walking, standing on cement floor for 4–7.5 hour shifts with breaks; climbing ladders; hands in hot and cold water; working in extreme temperatures from hot to sub‑zero; using cleaning chemicals in solution, aerosol, and/or powder form; subject to a noisy work environment.
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English; basic math and computer skills; excellent customer service and teamwork skills.

The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.

Essential Duties

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Prepares, cooks, and serves food in accordance with established food safety procedures.
• Follows daily production schedules, including preparing recipes as written.
• Follows food safety guidelines for personal hygiene and practices safe hand washing.
• Cleans and sanitizes all utensils and equipment, mops floors, and disposes of garbage.
• Utilizes and stores cleaning chemicals (solutions, aerosols, powders) following established procedures.
• Participates in training, in‑service, and learning opportunities.
• Adheres to personnel requirements as outlined in the CCSD Administrative Rules, CCSD Employee Handbook, and the FNS Employee Handbook.
• Communicates effectively and promotes good public relations with students, teachers, parents, and administrators.
• Works with peers/supervisors cooperatively and assists others when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
