Primary Function: Perform food service duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements
- Educational Level: None; High School Diploma or High School Equivalency, preferred
- Certification/License Required: None, an Orientation for Nutrition Employees [ONE] course is required during the first few months of employment.
- Experience: None required; training for all essential duties will be provided.
- Physical Activities: Bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.; walking, standing on cement floor for 4–7.5 hour shifts with breaks; climbing ladders; hands in hot and cold water; working in extreme temperatures from hot to sub‑zero; using cleaning chemicals in solution, aerosol, and/or powder form; subject to a noisy work environment.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English; basic math and computer skills; excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Essential Duties
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
- Prepares, cooks, and serves food in accordance with established food safety procedures.
- Follows daily production schedules, including preparing recipes as written.
- Follows food safety guidelines for personal hygiene and practices safe hand washing.
- Cleans and sanitizes all utensils and equipment, mops floors, and disposes of garbage.
- Utilizes and stores cleaning chemicals (solutions, aerosols, powders) following established procedures.
- Participates in training, in‑service, and learning opportunities.
- Adheres to personnel requirements as outlined in the CCSD Administrative Rules, CCSD Employee Handbook, and the FNS Employee Handbook.
- Communicates effectively and promotes good public relations with students, teachers, parents, and administrators.
- Works with peers/supervisors cooperatively and assists others when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
