OVERVIEW

The Food Service Assistant supports the school's food service program, which is integrated into the environmentally-focused curriculum. ECS sources from local farmers, uses sustainable products, and employs recycled or reusable trays and utensils, creating a unique public school meal program in Western Pennsylvania. The ECS Lunch Program offers healthy, delicious, and sustainable meals within the National School Lunch Program guidelines.

Educational Background and Work Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of food service experience (desirable)
• Food Safety Certification (preferred)

Compensation and Benefits

$17.35 per hour, with participation in a 403(b) retirement plan after 400 hours of employment, and Paid Time Off (PTO).
