Job summary

Recover-Care in Pittsburg, KS is seeking a dietary aide to support meal service for residents and staff in the nursing center.

You will assist the cook, prepare nourishments, desserts, salads, and beverages; follow production sheets; and help maintain sanitation and safety standards. Prior food service and long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business needs.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service.
• Prior experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepare and label nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads, and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pour beverages.
• Follow production sheets and pre-preparation guidelines when appropriate.
