Job summary

Recover-Care Heartland is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to support meal preparation, serving, and cleanup for patients, residents, and staff at the nursing center.

You will follow center procedures, assist the cook, prepare nourishments, desserts and beverages, and help maintain safe, sanitary conditions in daily nutrition operations. Prior food service and long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• The dietary aide candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate
