Job Description

The Food Server at Encore Boston Harbor is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience by taking food and beverage orders, serving wine and beverages, maintaining tables, completing side work, adhering to health standards, and delivering excellent customer service in casual dining outlets. Responsibilities include supporting departmental goals, maintaining standards, and ensuring guest and team member satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement and uphold Encore Boston Harbor's core values and standards.
  • Participate in departmental goals, policies, and procedures; evaluate and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Provide high-level service and satisfaction to guests.
  • Contribute to communication and best practices across the company.
  • Stay informed about departmental developments.
  • Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Prepare mise en place, set up and clean tables, and prepare service stations.
  • Polish glassware, silverware, and china.
  • Engage with guests about menu items, aiding their decisions.
  • Execute the service sequence according to Forbes standards.
  • Lead team tasks with the guest experience in mind.
  • Participate in meetings and briefings.
  • Handle billing and payments professionally.
  • Follow safety standards and maintain industry knowledge.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years or older and obtain necessary licenses, including a Massachusetts Gaming license and alcohol awareness card.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of food serving experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret documents, and communicate effectively in English; second language a plus.
  • Basic math skills and report interpretation abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks.
  • Work environment involves moderate to loud noise levels and varying schedules based on business needs.
