Job summary

Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is seeking a Food Server Assistant to support the food service team at our luxury property in Miami Beach. The role focuses on serving guests during breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on Hyatt service standards and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• One year of Food and Beverage experience or related
• Customer service experience is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Assist food servers in serving guests during meals
• Clear and reset dining tables as needed
• Serve beverages, food, and snacks to guests
• Coordinate with fellow servers to ensure smooth service

Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is now recruiting a Food Server Assistant to join our team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks. Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. Unmatched amenities include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, a destination dining experience by José Andrés, two pools, and a Beach Club catering to the who’s who of Miami.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Food Server Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting the food servers with serving our guests. This is a fast-paced position with continual customer contact.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests and visitors with breakfast, lunch and dinner based on Forbes Service Standards.


• Clear, clean and reset all the dining tables and chairs.


• Serve beverages, drinks and snacks to visitors and guests.


• Coordinate with other servers in ensuring proper services to guests and customers.


• Ensure Hyatt’s steps of service are followed.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A minimum of one (1) year of relevant Food and Beverage experience


• Previous customer service experience will be an asset


• Must be fit and energetic


• A good verbal and written communication skills


• A team player with a positive attitude


• The ability to lift, pull and push up to 30 lbs.


• Ability to work a flexible shift schedule, weekends and holidays.
