Job summary

Tohono Chul Garden Bistro in Tucson, AZ seeks a hospitality-focused server to coordinate a four-table dining station and deliver an exceptional guest experience. You will greet guests, suggest items, and record orders using a handheld POS while ensuring timely delivery and correct presentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a minimum four-table station to provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
• Greets guests, makes recommendations and answers questions about food, beverages and service.
• Take and record food and beverage orders from guests via handheld POS device.
• Ensure orders are prepared, garnished, and served promptly with quality presentation.
• Observe guests to ensure satisfaction and respond to needs or requests.
• Work as part of a team to maintain table cleanliness and assist where needed.
• Process payments and present guest checks accurately.

Come join our amazing team! Tohono Chul Garden Bistro is open daily from 8 AM to 4 PM. We have live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night from 5 to 8 PM. There are lots of opportunities to advance and/or showcase your talents. Bartending experience is a plus!

POSITION SUMMARY:

To coordinate a minimum four-table station to provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds guest's expectation. Provides food, beverage, service and hospitality that meet all Tohono Chul Garden Bistros standards and procedures

• Obtains station assignments from host/hostess or Manager-On-Duty at the start of the work shift; correctly completes all assigned opening and side work duties in a timely manner.
• Greets guests immediately, makes suggestions and answers questions regarding food, beverages and service.
• Practices salesmanship to enhance the dining experience without allowing guests to over order. Uses guests' names regularly throughout the dining experience
• Reports to work as indicated on the work schedule and in the correct uniform. Practices positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts.
• Takes and records food and beverage orders from guests Via handheld point of sale device
• Ensures that all food and beverages delivered and served are served promptly, garnished correctly and meet the quality/presentation
• Observe bistro diners to ensure that guests are satisfied with food, beverages and service: immediately recognizes and responds to any guest needs and/or requests.
• Practices teamwork by assisting fellow employees, as needed, by serving food, practicing table maintenance and bussing to enhance our guests' dining experience.
• Communicates to the Manager-On-Duty any and all situations where a guest may express concern or dissatisfaction with any aspect of the dining experience.
• Correctly presents the guest check and processes payment for all food and beverages sold.
• Closes station only upon direction from Manager-On-Duty; correctly completes all closing, side work and checkout duties in a timely manner.
• Performs all duties and maintains knowledge of all standards and procedures
