Job Summary

Sets up and/or serves on patient tray line, takes patient food to assigned floors, operates dish machine, and cleans produce as directed by cooks. Performs cleaning duties specific to job title. Operates cash register, including hand keying prices, to complete sales. Collects payment through cash, check, or debit/card, provides receipts, and performs other assigned tasks.

Job Specifications
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Job Knowledge:
  • Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and weeding fruits and vegetables; measures ingredients.
  • Transfers food, supplies, and utensils safely between stations, stove, and refrigerator.
  • Stores foods properly, following safety and rotation procedures.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
  • Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure quality and proper serving temperatures.
  • Serves customers courteously and efficiently, following service steps.
  • Interacts positively with customers and addresses complaints professionally.
  • Relays relevant information to supervisors.
  • Enters sales into the cash register accurately.
  • Handles payments, makes change, and issues receipts.
  • Follows procedures for cash refunds and manages assigned change funds.
  • Replenishes condiments, beverages, and supplies, maintaining cleanliness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
