Job summary

Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom seeks a Food Scientist I for a Kannapolis, NC-based manufacturer of whole-food nutritional supplements. You will support the Food Science Lab from concept through scale-up while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include developing wet/dry formulas, material sourcing, sensory testing, data analysis, and maintaining a clean laboratory.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in science-related field with lab experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry or related field preferred.
  • Experience in a research, food manufacturing, or nutraceutical environment preferred.
  • Experience with product formulation, process specifications, scale-up, sensory testing or stability studies preferred.
  • Familiarity with Genesis or other food formulation software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, the Food Scientist I will support the Food Science Lab and assist with product development activities from initial concept through scale-up. This role will conduct product trials and studies while ensuring work meets company and regulatory standards.
