Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in scientific affairs or related field in Food/biotech.
• Knowledge of AOAC US and Health Canada validation processes; USDA/FDA familiarity valued.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present complex science to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of scientific strategies to support validations and approvals in the Americas for FSD products.
• Coordinate and prepare scientific documents, including validation reports for AOAC and Health Canada, and responses to regulatory inquiries.
• Collaborate with Marketing and cross-functional teams to align scientific strategies with business priorities.
• Supervise strategic scientific partnerships in the Americas.
• Stay updated on scientific advancements, industry trends, and regulatory guidelines to inform strategy.
• Represent Bio-Rad to regulatory agencies and external stakeholders; ensure compliance with requirements and internal policies.
