Job summary

Fortrex, Inc., a leader in food safety solutions, seeks a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to uphold cleanliness and safety in our Virginia plant operations. You will perform the eight steps of sanitation and follow all safety policies to protect the food supply.

Work closely with leads and management, handle hoses and equipment, wear PPE, and follow Lock-out tag-out procedures. This on-site role includes medical, life, disability insurance, retirement plans, holidays, vacation, EAP, and training

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation using the eight steps and follow food safety policies.
• Work cooperatively with leads and management to ensure procedures are followed.
• Wear PPE and handle hoses, equipment, and chemical containers safely.
• Follow Lock-out tag-out (LOTO) procedures and work in a wet, hot, or cold environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
