Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a meticulous Food Safety Sanitor to ensure the highest sanitation and safety standards in our food production processes. You will perform eight steps of sanitation and adhere to all food safety policies, contributing to our mission of safe, quality products.

Responsibilities include following sanitation procedures, lifting equipment and hoses, and wearing required PPE. The role involves exposure to chemicals in a wet, hot or cold environment, with shifts that may vary by

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to take direction and be accountable for own actions.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Follow sanitation procedures in collaboration with leads and management.
• Frequent lifting of hoses, equipment and chemical containers.
• Wear employer-specified PPE (gloves, face shield, goggles, aprons, boots, etc).
• Exposure to chemicals while using PPE.
• Night standing, lifting and crouching for extended periods.
• Perform all tasks safely and use LOTO where required.
• Other duties as assigned.
