Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Norwalk, Iowa is seeking a sanitation associate to perform CIP, CIP SSOPs, and cleaning of production areas and equipment.

You will ensure health and food safety daily by applying GMPs, SSOPs, plant policies, and procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility. Responsibilities include disassembling and cleaning equipment, setting up production lines, documenting procedures, collaborating with team members, and adhering to safety standards and HACCP guidelines

Qualifications

• Successful completion of yearly LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) training.
• Successful completion of yearly Chemical Training.
• License to drive a forklift may be required.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize and reassemble production equipment.
• Assist in setup of designated production equipment.
• Assist in clean out of place (COP) procedures.
• Complete the proper documentation required of the position.
• Assist in production jobs as needed.
• Work effectively with other team members.
• Follow all MFI CIP SSOPs.
• Follow all CIP safety standards.
• Adhere to GMP and HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and quality.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
