Job summary

PepsiCo Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Supervisor to lead a team of Quality Technicians and ensure the highest standards for ingredients and finished products on the 2nd shift (1:30pm-10:30pm, Monday–Friday, plus weekend as needed). The role emphasizes cost efficiency, continuous improvement, and safety across the unit.

The supervisor will drive GMP compliance, safety, and documentation while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet performance goals and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food/Beverage Manufacturing, Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years in Food/Beverage industry or related field strongly preferred.
  • 1+ years of direct people leadership experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in process improvement.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations including food safety.

This position contributes to the success of PepsiCo by ensuring the overall quality of ingredients and finished products in accordance with the company's standards. Responsibilities include cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for an entire business unit on shift. The Food Safety & Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Quality Technicians. This individual must set quality assurance standards and align the organization to achieve these standards.

This role is for 2nd shift: 1:30pm-10:30pm Monday through Friday. Saturdays as needed based on the business needs. The ability to flex hours as needed is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provides technical and process knowledge for water treatment/wastewater, product batching, product testing, package testing and supplier capability
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of production equipment (processing and packaging equipment) and its related impact on overall quality
  • Oversees team execution of key food safety pre-requisite programs such as: GMP compliance, sanitation, documentation and recordkeeping, regulatory audits, etc.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of process improvements and technical developments
  • Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for both management and front-line hourly personnel
  • Develops the team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Delivers effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact
  • Communicates and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues
  • Motivates team members to achieve plan goals
  • Ensures compliance with all health & safety regulations including food safety
  • Participates in regulatory audits/inspections (I. e. AIB, FDA, ISO F2200 Standard, GHEMS)
  • Administer employee policies and procedures
  • Regular and predictable attendance at the work site
  • This role requires regular presence on the plant floor
  • This role requires lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionally
  • This role may operate forklift and manufacturing equipment occasionally
  • This is a second shift role and may require some weekend work
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision-making with a demonstrated ability to work in a driven and challenging environment
Compensation and Benefits
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $66,900 - $111,950.
  • Location, confirmed job‑related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. Preferably in Food/Beverage Manufacturing, Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related Field
  • 2+ years of experience in Food/Beverage Industry or related Field strongly preferred
  • 1+ years of direct people leadership (supervisory) experience preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in process improvement
  • Knowledge of all health & safety regulations including food safety
  • Previous Quality Control experience in high-speed manufacturing environment preferred
  • Quality Principles: Knowledge and application of quality principles to detect and correct non-conforming conditions using quality problem solving tools
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
