Job summary

Thistle is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Associate (FSQA Associate) at our Burlington, NJ facility. You will perform standardized food safety and quality control checks to ensure products meet safety and quality standards, calibrate equipment, and support ongoing QA programs.

You will train teams on safety procedures, work with production QA leads to maintain records, and help implement preventive controls, CCPs, and sanitation programs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• AA degree (Bachelor's preferred) in food Safety & quality management or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Food Safety Specialist or Quality Technician in a food manufacturing environment is required.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification for state working in.

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Train receiving teams on food safety and quality control procedures.
• Support Culinary QCs/leads in day-to-day food safety quality checks in adherence to preventive controls.
• Work closely with production line QCs/leads to ensure complete and accurate record keeping.
• Assist with training, instruction, and support on all manufacturing equipment.
• Oversee Sanitation and environmental testing program.
• Verify adherence to Preventive Controls, Processing Parameters, CCPs, Allergen, and Sanitation programs.
• Conduct internal audits to monitor food safety quality, processes, facilities, and quality systems.
