Job summary

Johnsonville, LLC is seeking a Food Safety/Quality Manager to lead the Holton FSQ Team and drive a best-in-world quality culture. The role focuses on safety, quality, and continuous improvement across meat processing operations.

You will manage FSQ programs, ensure USDA/FSIS compliance, and mentor a team while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a track record in meat safety leadership, strong analytical skills, and experience with audits and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food science, Meat Science, Microbiology or related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience in a food safety and quality leadership role required.
• Experience in food; meat/poultry processing and harvest preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (USDA/FSIS) and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the site.
• Lead the plant food safety and quality system through programs, procedures and policies.
• Collaborate with teams to drive continuous improvement and corrective actions.
• Oversee Animal Welfare System and Programs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and lead internal, customer, regulatory, audits.
• Coach and develop Food Safety and Quality team members.
• Manage third-party contractors and capital budgeting for FSQ initiatives.
