We are hiring aFood Safety & Quality Supervisorlocated in Pasadena TX.This position assures that all products produced are safe and wholesome and that they meet company standards for quality and consistency in a large manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance across all manufacturing areas (raw materials, processing, finished products, storage, handling, shipping) and manage the development and implementation of HACCP programs.
  • Approve raw materials for production through sampling and inspections, and monitor packaging containers for quality and capacity.
  • Coordinate safety, discipline, and compliance with company policies and local/federal regulations, ensuring employee safety awareness.
  • Oversee training programs for HACCP, GMPs, and other regulations, ensuring proper documentation and program adherence.
  • Conduct preoperative sanitation inspections and take corrective actions for unsanitary conditions, ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor raw ingredient programs, including sampling, testing, and reporting, to ensure conformance to specifications and finished product quality.
  • Supervise, train, and develop subordinates, assist in FSQ policy development, and ensure regulatory compliance through audits and resolution of customer complaints.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years related experience
  • Demonstrated intermediate level proficiency in SAP.
  • HACCP Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of math, chemistry, statistical process control, and microbiology necessary.
  • Intermediate skill in the use of electronic general ledger systems including the generation and use of reports from electronic general ledger system.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, as well as professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations as well as product specifications.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing helpful.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is$58,500 to $97,500annually with eligibility for a10%annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
