Schweid & Sons, a family-owned premium ground beef company based in Carlstadt, NJ, seeks a Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to maintain and control vital FSQA documentation. The role emphasizes strict adherence to regulatory standards and robust record management.

You will work across FSQA, Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance to ensure documentation accuracy, audit readiness, and secure handling of sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Must have GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and USDA regulatory knowledge.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Familiarity with automated document/records management apps is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsabilités

• Maintain digital records for quality and safety documentation in line with USDA/SQF and company standards.
• Inspect incoming raw materials for temperature, pest presence, and sanitary conditions.
• Verify material appearance, packaging, and temperature checks (<40°F).
• Review Certificates of Analysis and manage COA retention or disposal as needed.
• Support audits by organizing and retrieving documents and records.
• Digitize and archive records, ensuring retention compliance.
• Collaborate with FSQA, Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance teams on documentation best practices.
