The Hershey Company in Edgerton, KS is seeking a Food Safety Compliance Lead to protect product quality and safety by leading plant food safety and quality programs, supporting GFSI certification, and partnering across Manufacturing, Engineering and plant teams. This role helps shape a strong food safety culture and ensures regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of related food safety, quality assurance, or manufacturing experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal and state food industry regulations, sanitation and pest control practices, HACCP, GFSI standards, and quality assurance principles.
• Demonstrated experience with audits or assessments, corrective and preventive actions, technical documentation, and cross-functional influence.
• HACCP certification strongly preferred. SQF, PCQI, or Six Sigma certification desirable.
• Strong communication, leadership, analytical, computer, and document-management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development, implementation, review, and maintenance of plant food safety/quality program aligned with Product Excellence Program and GFSI standards.
• Coordinate activities to achieve and maintain GFSI certification, including internal assessments, system validations/verifications, CAPA, and third-party audits.
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory food safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Plan and facilitate new-hire and ongoing employee training, communicating essential safety/quality information across the plant.
• Serve as a technical resource to Manufacturing and Engineering for incident investigation, troubleshooting, audits, and related quality matters.
• Maintain accurate program documentation and use systems to organize, analyze, and report quality information.
• Build collaborative relationships and influence cross-functional teams to deliver timely, sustainable results.
• Provide schedule flexibility to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
