Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician in Enid, OK to uphold high standards of food safety and product quality. In this role you will inspect products and plant systems, document results, and take corrective actions when needed.

The position requires lifting up to 75 pounds, ability to work in varied temperatures, and readiness for overtime or weekend work. A HS diploma or GED is required, with at least 1 year in a QA or food manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to read and interpret product specifications.
• Must be able to work the 2nd shift and overtime if needed.

Job Summary

Join our team as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
• Documenting and calculating results accurately.
• Taking corrective action, when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.
• Handling additional assignments as requested.

Shift and Pay

• This position works 2nd shift.
• This position pays $21.95/hour and is paid weekly!

Working Conditions

• Environment: Normal for a food manufacturing setting.

Physical Requirements

• Involves lifting materials and products up to 75 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
• Must work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Must be able to work in wet environment.
• Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling.
• Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently.
• Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification.
• Must reside in the United States to be considered.
• No sponsorship available with this position.
• Local candidates will be given priority.

Safety Equipment

• Use of steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks is required.

Restrictions

• Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 years’ experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
• Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
• Special Skills: Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
