• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities with internal and external customers.

What you will be doing as a Food Safety Intern:

The projects that will be given to the Food Safety/Quality interns will be focused in key areas of the supply chain that will give a broad perspective of Food Safety/Quality in the supply chain, from procurement to manufacturing and product development, as well as involvement in engaging projects where they can make a difference. In the Food Safety/Quality department, you will be exposed to several different aspects, such as procurement and merchandising strategies, product development, manufacturing QA, measuring own brand vendor quality standards, and customer service. Additionally, you’ll gain experience in meeting and exceeding government standards regarding facility and product compliance. The intern may also get exposure to other activities of the function, including: All areas within the Supply Chain and Manufacturing organization (distribution, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, finance, engineering, and food safety). Merchandising Store operations

Qualifications:

Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in:

• Food Science
• Biological Sciences
• Chemistry
• Nutrition/Culinary Science
• Engineering (Agricultural, Biotechnology, Chemical)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
