Job summary

USDA-FSIS is seeking qualified Consumer Safety Inspectors to support the inspection of meat, poultry, and egg products. The CSI team works to ensure public health by enforcing Federal standards across assigned plants, with opportunities for movement within the Raleigh District and associated duties as required.

Qualifications include specialized experience in regulated food commodities, ability to collect samples, perform testing, and report findings.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience with properties and characteristics of regulated food commodities or other products for human consumption.
• Experience should be in roles such as consumer safety inspector or food inspector, public health inspector, or quality inspection specialist.
• Requires ability to apply sampling techniques, perform field tests, document findings, and communicate results clearly.
