Job summary

High Liner Foods USA is seeking a detail‑oriented FSQA professional to maintain the onsite FSQA program and supporting documentation. You will perform HACCP verifications, manage CAPA activities, and lead audit readiness efforts in collaboration with Quality leadership.

The role requires 2–4 years of food safety/QA experience, strong documentation skills, and proficiency with MS Office and document control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support onsite FSQA program and supporting documentation, ensuring they remain current and compliant.
  • Conduct HACCP verification activities, including record review and support for validation and reassessment.
  • Coordinate audit readiness by organizing documentation and maintaining program elements in continuous compliance.
  • Support the site's CAPA process with issue intake, root-cause investigations, corrective action tracking, and verification.
  • Coordinate customer complaint activities, including data review and timely communication of findings to QA Manager.
  • Oversee document control for FSQA materials, ensuring proper maintenance and alignment with requirements.
  • Assist QA leadership with internal and external audits by preparing materials and following up on findings.
  • Perform routine program verification checks and escalate gaps, risks, or issues to the Plant Quality & Food Safety Manager.
  • Collaborate with Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance to reinforce food safety expectations.
  • Promote continuous audit readiness by identifying risks and supporting corrective actions.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and support onsite FSQA program and supporting documentation, ensuring they remain current, compliant, and effectively implemented across the facility.
  • Conduct HACCP verification activities, including record review, prerequisite program verification, and support for validation and reassessment needs.
  • Partnering with Quality and site leadership to coordinate auditreadiness efforts by organizing documentation, ensuring record accuracy, and maintaining program elements in a state of continuous compliance.
  • Support the site's CAPA documentation process, including issue intake, support for rootcause investigations, corrective action tracking, and verification that actions are effectively implemented and sustained.
  • Coordinate customer complaint activities, including data review, investigation support, documentation accuracy, and timely communication of findings to the QA Manager.
  • Oversee document control for all FSQArelated materials, ensuring documents and records are properly maintained, updated, and aligned with regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
  • Support Quality leadership and the site with internal and external audits by preparing required materials, participating in audit activities, and ensuring timely and accurate followup on findings.
  • Perform routine program verification checks to confirm compliance and promptly escalte gaps, risks, or emerging issues to the Plant Quality & Food Safety Manager
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional partners-including Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance-to reinforce food safety expectations and support effective program execution.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous audit readiness by identifying emerging risks, supporting corrective actions, and promoting consistent adherence to FSQA standards and behaviors.

  • Supports continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to strengthen program execution and reduce compliance risk.
Job Qualifications
  • Post secondary education: Associates degree, Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field; equivalent experience in food manufacturing may be considered.
  • 2-4 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or related roles within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulatory requirements (FDA/USDA, FSMA, customer standards).
  • Experience with audit preparation, documentation management, or CAPA processes is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organization, documentation and recordkeeping skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort working in digital document control systems.
