Job summary

A leading food manufacturer in De Soto, Kansas, is seeking an experienced Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to lead food safety culture in a SQF-certified facility. This role requires a hands-on leader with over 10 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance. Responsibilities include championing food safety programs and managing QA teams. The ideal candidate will have experience with compliance and audits, and bilingual skills are a plus. Competitive benefits include medical insurance, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• 10+ years Food Safety/QA leadership in food manufacturing.
• Recall experience strongly preferred.
• SQF/BRC/HACCP/GMP certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Champion food safety programs: FSMA, SQF, HACCP, SSOPs, HARPC.
• Lead audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and internal audits.
• Supervise and develop QA & Sanitation teams.
• Manage corrective actions, documentation, and process improvements.
• Supervise and develop QA and Sanitation teams.

We’re hiring an experienced Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to lead Food Safety Culture in our Level 2 SQF-certified facility. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on leader who enjoys building strong systems, mentoring teams, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion food safety programs: FSMA, SQF, HACCP, SSOPs, HARPC
• Lead audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and internal audits
• Partner with Production, Sanitation, and R&D teams to ensure consistent quality
• Manage corrective actions, documentation, and process improvements
• Supervise and develop QA & Sanitation teams

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years Food Safety/QA leadership in food manufacturing
• Recall experience strongly preferred
• SQF/BRC/HACCP/GMP certifications a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
