Job Description

Brooklyn Bowl has redefined the destination entertainment experience. As a Food Runner, your role is to ensure that bus stations and storage rooms are organized for quick access by food service personnel. You will maintain inventory and notify management of shortages or issues.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Deliver hot and cold items following server instructions; describe dishes clearly.
  • Stock kitchen windows and assist with cleanliness and organization.
  • Serve and clear items professionally and unobtrusively.
  • Transport soiled dishes and service items to appropriate areas.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Polish silverware, fold napkins, and perform side work as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between kitchen and front of house.
  • Expedite food when necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Prepare condiments, silverware, and other items for delivery.
  • Keep bus stations, stock rooms, and corridors organized.
  • Obtain approval for stock requisitions and report equipment issues.
  • Work collaboratively to enhance guest experience.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid Food Safety/Health Card required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Experience in high-volume restaurant setting preferred.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Qualifications
  • Ability to move throughout the restaurant during the shift.
  • Handle trays weighing 20-35 pounds repeatedly.
  • Push/pull up to 600-650 pounds on wheels.
  • Work in loud, smoky, crowded environments.
  • Stand for entire shift.
